Designing your ideal life, living intentionally, choosing to see your worth, & more

Monthly Favorite Finds is a curated collection of my top discoveries from the past month—whether it’s insightful reads, helpful tools, or unique ideas that have sparked my curiosity.

Each month, I share what’s been inspiring or helping me recently, offering fresh perspectives and actionable takeaways you can explore in your own life.

Here are my top 5 favorite finds this month:

Story on choosing to see your worth:

I recently came across this simple story:

A professor stood in front of his class, held up a crisp $100 bill, and asked, "How much is this worth?"

"$100," the class replied in unison.

The professor then crumpled the bill into a ball, held it out in his palm, and asked, "How much is it worth now?"

"$100," the students replied.

The professor threw the bill on the ground, stomped on it, jumped on top of it, and asked, "And how about now?"

Looking confused at their professor's actions, the students shrugged and answered, "$100."

The professor smiled and said, "Good! Remember this lesson in your own life. Whatever happens, however people treat you, whatever circumstances befall you, your value remains the same."

Takeaway: Life’s challenges and other people’s opinions don’t define your value. You must remember your value, even when others fail to acknowledge it.

This story is a reminder that no matter how messy, complicated, or painful life gets, you get to choose to see your worth.

Framework for self-discovery:

7 Questions to Ask Yourself When You’re Feeling Lost

I often find that questions are usually the best way for me to discover how I view life and gain clarity.

I found the questions offered in this video to be surprisingly reflective. They’re not just useful for moments of feeling lost; they’re insightful for any stage in life.

They’ll help you evaluate where you are, envision where you want to go, and figure out the steps to get there.

It’s a powerful exercise for self-discovery. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Lesson on the importance of living intentionally:

Make The Dash Count

I read this article that talked about how our whole life is summarized by a small, seemingly insignificant, dash on the tombstone between the day we were born and the day we die.

Most of us avoid thinking about death, and understandably so. But it’s a reality we can’t escape: our days are counting down to the moment when our time here comes to an end.

This can be a depressing thought. But it doesn’t have to be.

In fact, this very thought can be a powerful motivator to be very intentional about how you choose to spend the time you have.

At the end of your life, will you look back and feel fulfilled with how you lived it, the people you chose to share it with, the impact you made…

Or will you regret letting fear keep you from going after the things your heart truly desired?

The idea is to approach and live each present moment with intention and purpose—to make the dash count.

Idea on designing your ideal life:

I randomly came across a discussion about “designing a life you don’t need to escape”.

Something that was a bit of an ‘aha’ moment from the conversation was the realization that we always have the power to choose how we live—at any point of our lives.

They talk about an exercise called “The Ideal End State” where you write down in detail what the most fulfilling version of your life would look like, and then assessing whether your present actions align with creating that life.

Sometimes when you’re so zoomed in, it’s easy to feel stuck or disillusioned that you forget that you have the power to make changes—no matter how small—to create more joy and fulfillment.

This exercise enables you to zoom out and reclaim that power by realizing that designing the kind of life you want is within your control.

Poem on the power of belief:

In a world where you can believe anything, dare to believe in the possibilities.

Thanks for reading! I hope you found something valuable :)
